I had just arrived in Australia and feeling adventurous I took a stroll to the local shops in Boronia, Victoria where I noticed the local hairdresser was open. I walked up to the girl behind the counter, "how can I help you?' she enquired. "Could you cut my donkey for me' I replied. The hairdresser, the girl and I all looked at each other before I heard "Sorry love, we only do people in here." I explained that in Ireland a fringe in known as 'a donkey' and we all fell about laughing, I was still laughing when I got home and told everyone else.
