A few years ago I was travelling from Brisbane to Cairns. We were stuck with this screaming toddler, not too different from those hollywood films where kids are running up and down the middle of a plane. Her mother sat back and smiled as this toddler made herself at home, sprawling her toys out the entire length of the train. On this same trip, a husband was arrested for hitting his wife at 11pm (just as we had dozed off as we had no sleepers). There was so much screaming and concerned sound effects from passengers, that our lovely toddler woke up and screamed too.
We were so relieved to get off the damn train, but even more relieved to be going home after 3 weeks away. But guess who was on our train on the way home?? None other than the toddler from hell
