How did kangaroo get the name kangaroo?
Apparently the first English speaking people asked the Aboriginals what the kangaroo was called.
They answered kangaroo but I heard that that meant what are you on about.
Is this true? has anyone else heard of this?

I've heard this story as well. Think a tour guide mentioned this at Currumbin Wildlife Park, Gold Coast.
