Callington Mill is a fully functional, wind-driven flour mill in Oatlands, in Tasmania's south. The mill is Australia's third oldest Windmill (1837) and was built by John Vincent. Standing 50 feet tall it, has walls two feet thick. A much loved rustic landmark, it is a towering symbol of Colonial enterprise and is the only remaining tower of its kind in Tasmania. Within the complex is the original Millers Cottage and Granary. There is also a Visitors Centre onsite.Oatlands is around an hours' drive (82 kilometres/52 miles) north of Hobart.
