Travel west from Alice Springs following the spectacular West MacDonnell Ranges. Explore the desert rivers, sand country and woodland habitats. Highlights include: Simpsons Gap, Angkerle (Standley Chasm)and Alice Springs Sights.
Travel west from Alice Springs following the spectacular West MacDonnell Ranges. The first stop is at Simpsons Gap with its beautiful red gums. Continue to Angkerle (Standley Chasm). A light lunch will be provided before you return to Alice Springs.
This afternoon you'll tour the sights of 'The Alice' including the historic Telegraph Station and the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Visit the School of the Air and stop at the Alice Springs Reptile Centre where you will see unique Central Australian reptiles such as the Perentie and Thorny Devil. Conclude with a panoramic view of Alice Springs and the surrounding ranges from Anzac Hill.
