2 Day Cape Leveque and Pearl Farm Explorer

2 Day Cape Leveque and Pearl Farm Explorer - Bushwalking, Nature & WildlifePerfect for travellers with a bit of extra time to explore the spectacular Dampier Peninsula. Our Dampier Peninsula tour visits Aboriginal communities, to learn about bush tucker and dreamtime stories. Then on to Cygnet Bay where you learn first hand of the exotic pearling industry and cruise the pristine waters of the Buccaneer Archipelago. We get off the beaten track and head to stunning Pender Bay where in season the majestic Humpback Whales are often seen. You will enjoy the comfortable eco accommodation and relaxed nature of this fully inclusive 2 day guided Dampier Peninsula tour.

Day 1 Wednesday : Beagle Bay, Pearl Farm, Sunset Boat Cruise

Our Dampier Peninsula Tour leaves Broome early morning, we journey up the spectacular Dampier Peninsula, also known as ‘Dampier Land’. Largely Aboriginal-owned land, the Dampier is a delight for travellers seeking a Kimberley experience that is culturally rewarding in a beautiful environment. Travelling up the red ‘pindan’ 4WD track, we hear about the peninsula’s fascinating place in Australia’s history from our guided commentary. Our first stop is the Beagle Bay Aboriginal Community, home of the Beagle Bay Church and its glimmering pearl shell altar, where we enjoy morning tea. Arriving at beautiful Kooljaman on the tip of Cape Leveque we have time to swim and beachcomb on the pristine beach. After lunch we journey across to Cygnet Bay where we join a fascinating Pearl Farm Tour learning about the world’s largest and most beautiful pearls that have been farmed in these waters for generations by the family owned business. Later this afternoon we take to the waters on a sunset cruise in the picturesque Buccaneer Archipelago.

Concludes: Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm

Day 2 Thursday : Pender Bay, Bush Tucker Tour

After a relaxing breakfast we travel back along the Cape Leveque Road before joining a sandy coastal track that takes us to sublime Pender Bay where we enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the migration grounds of the humpback whale. We then tour the innovative Gubinge (Kakadu Plum) Processing Facility and learn of the amazing natural benefits of this native bush food and the savannah enrichment project in this majority Indigenous owned business (subject to access and seasonal opening – if not available an alternative experience may be substituted). After an incredible journey to one of Australia’s most stunning best-kept secrets your Dampier Peninsula tour concludes in Broome late this afternoon.
