I have heard of some caravaners having trouble with ants eating electrical cable, can anyone confirm this? Also if yes is there anywhere to research.

Hello Steely, I have never had trouble with ants in my campervan. But I did meet insects and mosquitoes. Somehow they just came in without my notice. I did bring a bug spray and a kind of LED Dual color strip camping light from ALLED website to against them. I did put some bug spray outside and inside of my campervan before I close the door, but it smells not very good. And it helps a little bit. Then I set the camping light in front of my campervan door, after that nothing can close the light, then I realized because a kind of amber color of this light can keep all bugs and insects away. I had slept very quiet and comfortable nights during my vacation.

I never had trouble with ants in my campervan but I had a mouse a couple of times. The somehow find a way in and after a couple of days it starts to smell a little bit. During the night you can hear that they run around, looking for food. The best is to keep all food in plastic boxes and in case you got a mouse you should by a trap as quick as possible. usually it takes a couple of houres and the mouse is in the trap.
