Marulan is a town in the Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales, Australia. It is located around 170 kilometres from Sydney.
'Mooraulin' is the local aboriginal name for Marulan. First discovered by Europeans in 1798. By 1820 it had blossomed into a village which provided essential services for pioneers.
Visitors can walk the trail of rugged ridges that cross the wollondilly river. Marulan village has a number of interesting buildings dating from the nineteenth century, there is a hotel in the village which offers a warm country welcome, with bistro and pub stay accommodation.
