Griffin you will find both the National Gallery of Australia
and the High Court. The High Court was opened in 1980 and is open
weekdays between 9.45am-4.30pm. It is possible to sit in the High
Court, although you must book in advance by phoning (02) 6270
6811.
The National
Gallery of Australia is open daily between 10.00am-5.00pm and
hosts a wide range of art including Aboriginal and Modern, including
drawings, furniture, paintings, sculptures and much more. The
Australian National University also hosts an art gallery showing
contemporary art exhibitions. The Drill Hall Gallery is open midday-5.00pm
from Wednesday-Sunday.
