Parrakie is a small town in South Australia, it is located along the Mallee Highway approximately 26 kilometers west of Lameroo. It serves the surrounding rural area within the Murraylands.
The name is derived from the Aboriginal word 'perki' which means cave or limestone sink hole.
In the town there is an active Lutheran Church, town hall, post office and payphone.
Whether it's houseboating, exploring historic towns, bushwalking or just relaxing, the Murraylands has it all.
