Situated at a magnificent coastal area and featuring a large patrolled surf beach, Alexandra Headland is popular amongst families and surfers. Attractive parkland backs the beautiful beach at Alexandra Headland and is ideal for picnics or a pretty coastal walk.
Alexandra Headland is home to Alex Surf Club and a large skate boarding area. Along the beachfront are picnic and barbecue tables within a nicely presented grassed area.
A few small shops can be found at Alexandra Headland, although it is just a short distance from the large shopping centre in Maroochydore and the magnificent shopping boutiques in Mooloolaba.
From the Headland it is possible to view Mount Coolum and, to the north, the Maroochy River. Alexandra Headland is located just over 1 hours drive from Brisbane.
Nearby attractions include Australian Zoo, the well known Ettamogah Pub and the family favourite; Underwater World. In addition, river and sea fishing is also very popular in this area.
There are plenty of water sports to participate in, with Sea Kayaking being popular. For the bargain hunter try the Eumundi Markets.
