If you head down to Southbank you can
enjoy walks along the riverside, and the magnificent views
of the city and river from the numerous cafes and restaurants.

St. Kilda Street, to the east of Southbank,
is Melbournes artistic centre. here you will find the Melbourne
Concert Hall, national Gallery of Victoria, Performing Arts
Museum (free entrance), the Theatres building and the Victorian
Arts Centre.

The buildings offer splendid architecture as well
as interesting exhibitions. the main venue for theatre companies
is the circular Melbourne Concert Hall. Below the Theatres Building
you'll find the State Theatre, Playhouse and George Fairfax Studio.
Along St. Kilda Street you'll also find the Shrine
of Rememberence, which hosts excellent views from the top.
