Brisbane Shopping

There are a wide range of shops in Brisbane for you to browse around. The main shops are situated along Queen Street and in the Queen Street Mall, and also in the Brunswick Mall. Queen Street Mall offers a wide range of shops amongst its 1200, as well as plenty of restaurants and cafes, cinemas, accommodation and a casino. You will also come across the Myer Centre which hosts around 200 shopping boutiques, as well as a large International food court.

If you are looking for something different or unique then there are various places you can head. There are some wonderful goods within Chinatown and Fortitude Valley. For designer boutiques stroll along Milton's Park Road, and for fantastic galleries visit New Farm. If you want to browse around some wonderful antiques then head to Paddinton, which offers great variety.

Late night shopping in the Brisbane City Centre is on Friday, when the shops stay open until 9.00pm. All other nights the shops are open until 5.30 pm, apart from Saturday when they close at 5.00pm and Sunday when they close at 4.00pm.

Brisbane also holds various markets in and around the city. The South Bank Lifestyle Markets are set in Brisbane's cultural South Bank area and are held over 3 days. The markets operate from Friday evening through to Sunday evening and feature a range of Australian arts, crafts, homewares and collectables. The markets are also home to a number of up-and-coming designers. With a distinctive Queensland character, the markets are an ideal place for buying gifts and souvenirs or simply strolling through and enjoying the ambience.

The South Bank Lifestyle Markets are held on Friday from 5:00pm - 10:00pm, Saturday from 10:00am - 5:00pm and Sunday from 9:00am - 5:00pm. There are also extended trading days during certain public holidays.
