Falls Creek is situated near the Bogong High Plains, and offers fantastic skiing during the winter at the Falls Creek Alpine Village. There are plenty of facilities at the village, with a range of accommodation, plenty of skiing lessons and a great night life. There are a variety of runs situated around both the Sun Valley and the Village Bowl. Cross country skiing is also popular, with some of the best routes in Australia being at Falls Creek.
You can follow the trail around Rocky Valley Pondage or take the adventurous trip to the top of Mt Cope, Mt Nelse and Mt Spion Kopje. Falls Creek also holds a cross country skiing race called the Kangaroo Hopper.
You can get to the village on Pyle's Coaches from Melbourne. You can also hop over to Mt Hotham on the Helicopter Lift Link. Getting around the resort also isn't a problem, with transport running from 8.00am until midnight.
