Narooma

Narooma is very popular for its sport fishing in the nearby lakes and inlets. You can also visit Montague Island which is home to seals and fairy penguins. The nature reserve is very pretty and to see the wildlife is fabulous. Central Tilba is 15 kilometres south of Narooma and had a booming gold-mining industry during the 19th century. It is very famous in Australia's history and is home to just 70 people. Narooma is a very beautiful place to stay, and offers a variety of things to do and accommodation including hostels and motels.

From here you can get to Mt Dromedary which is beautiful to climb and home to various sites of Aboriginal significance. South from here is the coastal Mimosa Rocks National Park and the inland wilderness of Wadbilliga National Park, as well as Bega the home of Bega cheese.
