Located 132 kilometres east of Perth in the heart of the wheat-sheep belt, Beverley is set on the banks of the Avon River. Town attractions include the Aeronautical Museum, which houses the silver Centenary, a bi-plane built in the local powerhouse between 1928 and 1930 by local men Selby Ford and Tom Shackles. Western Australia's aviation history is traced by photographs mounted on the Museum walls.

The 'Dead Finish Museum', open from March to November, houses memorabilia and items of historic interest ranging from wooden cotton wheels to washing boards. Beverley offers a variety of accommodation styles including bed and breakfasts, hotels and farm and station stays.
