Lakes Entrance is the biggest fishing port in all of Victoria, and makes a pleasant place to visit. There are several different river cruises which you can join, including sight seeing cruises and lunch cruises. You can also hire small boats so that you can explore the lakes independently.
For some fantastic shots head to Jemmy's Point Lookout which looks out over Lakes Entrance and the vast ocean. You should also follow the fabulous 2.3km track from Ninety Mile Beach to the 'lakes entrance'.
There are plenty of places to stay in Lakes Entrance, including hostels and camping grounds to plenty of motels and hotels. There are also some fantastic seafood restaurants around the town.
